Due to high fire danger, conditions of extreme temperatures, lack of substantial precipitation and a weather forecast that is unfavorable, South Bruce Fire Rescue has issued a partial open air burn ban for all open-air fires within the Municipality of South Bruce, effective immediately.
Included in this BAN, but is not limited to:
• Burning brush, trees or wood debris
• Burning of yard waste
• Burning of old farm buildings or other structures
• Agricultural or Industrial burns
• Burn barrels
• Fireworks & Sparklers
Open-Air Burn Permits will be suspended until further notice. No new permits will be issued.
What is PERMITTED under the Ban:
• Small, supervised campfires used for cooking and warmth in approved fire pits.
Please use extreme caution, ensure that fire extinguishing tools are readily available at all times, such as: A Shovel, Nearby Water Source (Bucket or Garden Hose), or Fire Extinguisher.
