Safety first |
When possible, we recommend that you practice the buddy system and try not to work out by yourself. Do not overload weights or use cardio machines longer than you are comfortable with. Always concentrate on the exercise you are doing and use a spotter when necessary. Ask a trainer for help if you are unsure about the proper use of the equipment. You can also leave a note or e-mail for a trainer to answer your question. |
Share equipment |
During peak hours, please be considerate when using the machines. Take turns in-between sets on any given piece of equipment. When doing cardio, do not go longer than 30 minutes on one machine. |
Wipe down equipment |
Please respect the equipment and other gym members by wiping down the equipment after each use with the supplied disinfectant spray and towels. |
Respect other's space |
Keep your distance and do not become a distraction when someone is in the middle of their set. This rule especially applies when in the free-weight section of a gym. |
Clean up your mess |
Always double check your work out area and leave it in the same condition you found it. |
Put back weights |
Please put your dumbbells, barbells, and any attachments back when you are finished with them. |
Dress code |
Remember your indoor running shoes and please leave outdoor shoes downstairs. Keep all long hair tied back and remove any lose jewellery. Wear clean, exercise appropriate clothing and practice proper hygiene. |
Respect the equipment |
Please treat the equipment as it is your own. Do not drop or bang weights and do not leave weights on the upholstered benches. |
No food or gum in the facility |
Water bottles and other closed beverage containers are allowed but must remain closed when not in use. |
Use the logbook |
Please report any injuries or damage to equipment in our logbook so we can keep all members safe. If you have any comments or concerns to trainers, you can add them in the logbook as well. |
