Small Business Property Tax Credit Input Needed!
We want your help to help YOU!
We want your input and participation during the month of July! We are seeking your insight! We would like to engage with you, our small businesses and community members to get your feedback. We request you to take part in a survey AND an online consultation on a potential Property Tax Credit for Small Business in 2022.
In the provincial budget announced earlier this year, the provincial government noted an option to allow municipalities to create of a new tax subclass for small business property owners. The intention is so that small businesses pay a lower rate than their larger counterparts. Join the discussion regarding if Bruce County should move forward with the tax credit or not. If you think we should, it will be considered. If approved by Bruce County Council, local municipalities will implement a Small Business Property Tax subclass to target tax credit by reducing property taxes to eligible small business properties.
Your feedback will help to gather important data that will help us to move forward with the Small Business Property Tax subclass. This would provide tax credit to small business.
