Voter Information Letters Mailed for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election

Municipality of South Bruce, Ontario – October 5, 2026 – Voter Information Letters have been mailed to eligible electors for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections. The voting period is from October 19 to 26, 2026.

Watch your mail over the coming days and keep your Voter Information Letter in a safe place.

Your Voter Information Letter includes:

  • Voting instructions;
  • A unique PIN required to access the voting system; and
  • Information about voting assistance.

You will need your Voter Information Letter and PIN to vote.

The 2026 Municipal and School Board Election will use internet and telephone voting only. Eligible electors can vote from anywhere using internet or telephone access during the voting period. Voting opens on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and closes on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 8:00 p.m.

Need Assistance?

The Voter Assistance Centres, located at the Mildmay Fire Station and the Municipal Office (visit www.southbruce.ca/election for the Centre schedules), can assist with:

  • Updating voter information;
  • Accessing the voting system;
  • Using internet or telephone voting; and
  • General election questions.

Computers will be available for electors who wish to vote online.

Election staff can provide general assistance but cannot influence voter choices or cast a ballot on behalf of an elector.

Haven't Received Your Voter Information Letter?

Eligible voters who have not received their Voter Information Letter by October 15, 2026 should contact the Clerk's Department as soon as possible.  

The Clerk’s Department can confirm your voter information and assist with having a Voter Information Letter prepared and issued so that you can access the voting system.

If you are not on the voters' list, you may be added by visiting the Municipal Office or a Voter Assistance Centre in person. You will be required to complete an Application to Amend the Voters' List (Form EL15) and provide identification showing your name and qualifying address.
