Public Notice - Pesticide Use - Spring 2026

The Municipality of South Bruce intends to control noxious weeds along the following rural roadsides: West of Highway 9 – Conc. 14, Schmidt Rd., Grubb Rd., Tower Rd., Conc. 12E, Schaefer Rd., SR 21-22, Council Rd., Conc. 14W, Conc. 12, Conc. 10, B-Line, SR 5S, SR 5B, SR 1C, SR 1B, Conc. 8W, Conc. 8, Conc. 4, Conc. 2, SR 1A and SR 5A.

The following pesticides will be used which are registered under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada):

•  Navius FLEX Herbicide (Reg. #30922) containing the active ingredients Metsulfuron – methyl and Aminocyclopyrachlor. 
• Hasten NT Ultra Spray Adjuvant (Reg. #31760) containing the active ingredients Methyl and ethyl oleate (esterified vegetable oil).
• ClearView Herbicide (Reg. #29752) containing the active ingredients Aminopyralid (present as potassium salt), and Metsulfuron-methyl. 

We are controlling Noxious weeds under Public Works Exception of the Cosmetic Pesticides Ban for the promotion of public health and safety. 

Spraying will commence on May 19, 2026, weather permitting, and conclude June 30, 2026.
