SOUTH BRUCE, ON – South Bruce Council confirmed new municipal branding at its meeting March 12th. The new South Bruce branding includes a municipal logo, community logos for the villages of Mildmay, Teeswater and Formosa, and community taglines.
SOUTH BRUCE, ON – The environmental and safety studies completed to date, show that a deep geologic repository can be safely built and operated in South Bruce, according to the municipality’s lead peer review consultant GHD Ltd. Ian Dobrindt, Senior Environmental Planner and member of the Peer Review Team, told the Community Liaison Committee (CLC) that there is no evidence that would keep the Municipality from going forward with the next steps of the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) site selection process.

South Bruce Seeks Community Input on New Brand. SOUTH BRUCE, ON – The Municipality of South Bruce is asking the community for input on the rebranding of Formosa, Mildmay, Teeswater, and South Bruce as a whole.

SOUTH BRUCE, ON – The Community Liaison Committee heard from a Western University researcher about experiments she and a team of experts have been conducting related to the rate of corrosion of the used nuclear fuel containers designed for the proposed deep geological repository (DGR). The purpose of the work is to expose the containers to a highly corrosive environment to determine the rate of corrosion in extreme conditions.
A new pub with golf simulators has officially opened its doors in the heart of downtown Teeswater. The Tees Tap House held its ribbon cutting with owners Nancy Dalgard and Dave Billings, Mayor Mark Goetz and other municipal representatives on Dec 6th.
