Notice is herby given that the Municipality of South Bruce will be spraying for weed control beginning June 1, in the urban areas of Teeswater, Formosa and Mildmay with approved herbicides. The herbicide Round Up Advanced Ready-to-Use will be applied which contains the active ingredients acetic acid and citric acid.

SOUTH BRUCE, ON – South Bruce Council will consider a Hosting Agreement between the Municipality of South Bruce and the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) at a special meeting on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. This Hosting Agreement maps out what happens if South Bruce decides it is a willing host and selected for the NWMO Project to safely store Canada’s used nuclear fuel.

SOUTH BRUCE, ON – The Municipality of South Bruce Council passed a by-law confirming the date and question for the 2024 by-election. From October 21 to October 28, 2024 at 8:00 p. m. , eligible voters in South Bruce will answer: ‘Are you in favour of the Municipality of South Bruce declaring South Bruce to be a willing host for the Nuclear Waste Management Organization’s proposed Deep Geological Repository (DGR)’.

South Bruce residents Danielle Luet of Teeswater and Bryce McDiarmid of Mildmay recently opened respective massage therapy practices that have generated an instant demand for services within South Bruce and the surrounding area. Luet runs Magic Hands RMT out of her home at 36 Clinton St N, Teeswater and Bryce McDiarmid RMT operates out of Namaste Salon and Spa at 60 Elora St, Mildmay.

SOUTH BRUCE, ON – South Bruce Council confirmed new municipal branding at its meeting March 12th. The new South Bruce branding includes a municipal logo, community logos for the villages of Mildmay, Teeswater and Formosa, and community taglines.

SOUTH BRUCE, ON – Council voted to continue the use of electronic voting via phone and internet for the 2024 by-election, as permitted under the. Municipal Elections Act.

Recent graduate Dr. Emily Montag, who was born and raised in South Bruce, has returned to the area to start a business that offers healthcare services to the community.
