Notice of Road Closure - Due to Flooding

Concession 12 between Sideroad 20B and Sideroad 25N, Culross is CLOSED effective immediately until further notice, due to flooding.

Emergency access via Bruce Road 4 for 911 numbers up to 1186 and via Sideroad 25N for 911 numbers up to 1304.

AND

Concession 14 between Sideroad 18 and Sideroad 25N, Culross is CLOSED effective immediately until further notice, due to flooding.

Emergency access via Bruce Road 4 for 911 numbers up to 925 and via Sideroad 25N for 911 numbers up to 1079.

Notice: Building Permit Fee Review 2025

The Building Department is reviewing their current permit fees to have them increased for the 2025 building season. The Building Code Act allows for fee increases and states the following: The total amount of the fees authorized under clause (1) (c) must not exceed the anticipated reasonable costs of the principal authority to administer and enforce this Act in its area of jurisdiction. 2002, c. 9, s. 11 (2). Half/Reduced Load Season

As of March 3, 2025 weight/load restrictions on all South Bruce roads has been implemented.

In order to protect roads from damage caused by heavy vehicles, the Municipality of South Bruce enforces a reduced load season during the spring thaw. This applies to all roads within the Municipality of South Bruce.  Reduced load season is regulated through By-law 2016-27 and section 122 of the Highway Traffic Act.
