The Municipality of South Bruce has two landfills for you to dispose of your large waste items, recycling products and more. If you live within the rural areas of South Bruce, you will use these sites as your main waste disposal location.
Both the Mildmay-Carrick and Teeswater-Culross Landfills now accept DEBIT cards. Credit cards are NOT accepted. As of June 1st, 2023, fees must be paid at the time of disposal by either debit or cash ONLY. Exceptions will be made for South Bruce Business/ Property Owners who have pre-approved credit only!
Apply for landfill site usage credit
If you plan on disposing large volumes of waste materials, apply for a landfill site usage credit. If your credit is approved, you will receive monthly invoices showing your site usage. View the application form to learn more.
Proof of residency
You must be a resident and property owner from the Municipality to be able to use the landfill sites. Please bring your driver’s licence or tax bill as you may be asked for your proof of residency to dispose of waste at our landfill sites.
Teeswater-Culross landfill
Teeswater landfill accepts all garbage, recycling, and large waste items. This is our only site that has a weigh station for calculating disposal fees for waste such as large items and construction materials.

Waste disposal and collection fees
When you dispose of your waste materials at our landfills, there is a weigh scale minimum charge of $10, plus possible additional fees. We calculate fees by the type and weight of disposal materials. View our list of waste disposal fees to learn more.

Weighing process
At the Teeswater landfill, we will weigh your vehicle when you arrive and again when you leave the landfill to calculate the fee based on the tipping weight. If you have garbage with bag tags, these will be exempt.
